Glyn 'Rooster' Booth
A highly experienced Jungle Specialist, Glyn spent long periods of time during his military service living off the land in primary jungle ( or ‘home‘ as he refers to it as it is there in which he feels most at ease). He served in the British Army as a Specialist Infantryman, Combat Medic and Survival Instructor with overseas postings including Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Kenya and Belize as well as many other places and has also lectured at Sandhurst Military Academy and worked closely with the Gurkhas.
In the words of one of his former Commanders: ‘During some tense times he showed a maturity and coolness beyond his years and was very reliable’.
His military career saw him complete numerous courses and gain many additional qualifications such as Team Medic, All Arms Commando and Physical Training Instructor among many others.
Glyn believes in living and working closely allied to the natural world and is genuinely respectful of man living in harmony with our environment. As an Instructor he is easy-going with a refreshing approach to teaching and students on his courses can be assured of receiving a sound survival education from an experienced professional who has had his survival skills called upon many times in real-life situations.
